It is with deep sorrow and profound love that our family announces the passing of our Mom, Alice Marie Messina, 95, who passed away peacefully on June 9th 2026 at Bridgeway Care Center in Hillsborough, NJ. She was born in Linden, on December 1st 1930 and lived in Linden ever since. She graduated from Linden High School and worked until getting married and starting a family. She went on to have a fulfilling career as a Wife and Mother. Alice's true passion in life was her family. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother who always put her family first. She was known for her Love of Life and Lightheartedness and enjoyed being with her family, bowling, bingo and going to Atlantic City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl and her brother, Robert. She leaves behind her beloved children, Carol Messina, Susan Messina and Vincent (Kimberly) Messina, three grandchildren, Melissa (Stalin) Salazar, Christie Heller and Matthew Messina, and three great-grandchildren, Amaya and Omar Salazar and Ethan Grykien. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14th at Leonard & Smith Funeral Home, located at 301 East Blancke Street in Linden, NJ. A Mass will be held On Monday, June 15th at St. Elizabeth's Church, located at 220 East Blancke Street in Linden, NJ. Interment to follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery & Mausoleum in Colonia, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Lymphoma Research Foundation, www.Giving.Lymphoma.org., a cause close to her heart.
