Eileen C. Sofko Barton, 69, of Winfield Park, N.J., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday September 3rd 2024.

Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to attend the Visiting Hours which will be held in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home 301 East Blancke Street Linden on Saturday September 7th from 12Noon till 3pm with a Funeral Service at 2:45pm. Cremation will be private.

Eileen was born in Newark and raised in Irvington where she graduated from Archbishop Walsh Girls Catholic High School in 1973 and then moved to Winfield Park in 1989. Before becoming a Full time Mother and housewife, Eileen worked for the Social Security Administration as a Data Entry/Clerk Irvington for several years.

Eileen was the beloved wife of the late Bruce E. Barton who died in 2016 and the loving mother of Kelly A. Barton, cherished sister of Sharon Kasperan and her husband John and Minna Chamberlin and her late husband Donald; Dearest Aunt of John Kasperan, Carley Hartzell and her husband John and the late Nicholas Litterio and great aunt of Isla Hartzell. Also surviving are cousins, nieces and nephews.

Eileen loved Arts and Crafts, was an avid reader, loved animals especially her cats, was very nature oriented and loved Pt. Pleasant. In Lieu of Flowers donations to Summit Animal Rescue Association www.sararescue .com in her memory would be appreciated.
