Esther F. (Ducey) Matlosz, 95, of Linden, NJ entered into eternal rest on Saturday, June 25, 2022 in the comfort of her home.

The Funeral Mass will be offered at St. John the Apostle Church Linden/Clark at 10am. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery Colonia. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 3 to 6pm.

Esther was born and raised in Elizabeth before moving to Linden in 1956. Esther along with her late husband Leonard owned the Eastern Scale Company in Linden for numerous years before enjoying retirement. She was a member of the Clark and Linden Senior Clubs. She enjoyed word search puzzles, reading the newspaper, cooking and of course a piping hot cup of tea. Esther's true joy was her close knit family. She would stitch every rip, match every sock and always made sure all her grandkids were fed. Everything she made was made with love. Her tuna fish and egg salad sandwiches were second to none and she by far handcrafted the perfect grilled cheese (chips and pickles included!) Her love for her great grand girls was undeniable. Her "babies " They had her wrapped around their tiny fingers.  She made sure she always had goodies for them, endless hugs and would join in on all the fun. Esther was a proud wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family that will forever miss her.

Esther was predeceased by her loving husband Leonard T. Matlosz and her son Leonard (Lenny) Matlosz. She is survived by her loving, devoted and caring grandchildren Jessica Slawinski and her husband Jason, Alyssa Bass and her husband Jason and Matthew Matlosz and his fiancé Amber. Mother in-law to Debbie Matlosz, Great-grandmother to Vivian and Priscilla Bass. Sister in-law to Eileen Ducey. She is also survived by her two Great-grand dogs, Lila and Melo and 4 nieces and a nephew. In lieu of flowers donations to St. John the Apostle Church 1805 Penbrook Terrace, Linden, NJ 07036 in her name would be appreciated.

The Matlosz Family would like to express their appreciation to Esther's caregiver and friend, Paula. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and compassion will never be forgotten.
