Francesco "Frank" Cacioppo, of Clark, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 2, 1945, in Ribera, Sicily, he was the cherished son of the late Giovanna and Giuseppe Cacioppo. He immigrated to the United States in 1962, where he built a life rooted in hard work, determination, and devotion to family. He began his career as a truck driver and later proudly founded FC Trucking Company, which he operated with dedication and pride for many years.
Frank was the beloved husband of Maria (Chirichiello) Cacioppo for 53 years; devoted father of Joseph and Gianni Cacioppo and Donna Lewan; and loving father-in-law to Lauren (Duryee) Cacioppo. He was the dear brother of Alfia Colletti and brother-in-law to Grace Monaco.
A cherished Nonno, Frank took immense pride in his grandchildren, Matthew, Stella, and Harrison, who were truly the light of his life. He also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews who adored him, along with extended family and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Frank was known for his strong work ethic, feisty spirit, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was an avid enthusiast of classic cars, soccer, and cigars, and enjoyed spending his winters in Naples, Florida.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the wake on Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street, Linden, NJ 07036.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Apostle Church, Clark, New Jersey.
Entombment will follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery Mausoleum, Colonia, New Jersey.
