On February 26th 2025, Ret. Linden Police Deputy Chief Francis V Kuczynski (Frank, Ski, Captain Chaos) was called to be with the Lord.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street, Linden from 2 to 6pm. On Thursday March 6th the funeral will begin at the funeral home at 9:30am followed by an 11am Funeral Mass in St. Elizabeth Church. Interment to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Frank served in the U. S. Army serving in Germany during peace time. He was a respected member of the Linden Police Department with 40 years on the force retiring in 2004 as Deputy Police Chief.  He was the Union County Fire Arms Instructor for many years. He was a member of the Linden PBA, Fire Arms Association and the NRA.

Frank was an avid baseball card collector and coin collector.  He wrote to and collected over 200 autographed pictures of celebrities that he displayed on the walls of his office in Police Headquarters. He also coached little league baseball and played on the Linden Police softball team. Frank loved the flea markets and was a terrific bowler.

Frank is survived by his daughters, Margaret Costello (Gerry), Susan Kuczynski and Karen Gooney (Rich). Grandchildren, Noah Royak (Margaret), Danny Hollingsworth (Susan), Avion, Susan, Zyaire and Steven Gooney (Karen).  His brother John Kuczynski and his long time companion and best friend Bettie Ann Gavigan.

He is Pre-deceased by his mother Margaret Pulik (Kuczynski) Driscoll and his father Vincent Kuczynski as well as his brother Michael Kuczynski.

In lieu of flowers donations to the Special Olympics in his name would be appreciated.
