Glenn J. Miller, 65, a lifelong resident of Linden and a loving father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, embraced by the love of his family in his final days.
Glenn will be remembered by his friends and loved ones as a kind, friendly, and good-hearted man who worked hard for his family and enjoyed his free time with a joy for life that uplifted everyone who met him.
Glenn was a graduate of Linden High School, Class of 1977. Before his retirement in 2021, Glenn worked for 29 years as a chemical operator for Merck and Co. in Rahway, and previously worked for GAF Corp. and American Flange, both of Linden. He was a previous member of Linden Moose Lodge No. 913. He was also a lifelong pool player, enjoyed softball and a variety of other sports in his youth, and was a dedicated fan of the Mets, Devils, and Giants.
Glenn was predeceased by his loving wife of 39 years, Karen (Carter) Miller, who passed in 2019, and his parents, Frank and Rita Miller of Linden. He is survived by sons Joseph of Linden, Jeffrey of Garwood and his partner, Angie, and Troy of Easton, PA, and his wife, Erin; grandchildren Brandon, Jada, Camrin, Lily, Maddie, Kaleb, Dante, Paityn, and Amelia; brothers Frank of Clark and his wife Margaret, Robert of Linden and his wife Susan, and Richard of Lakeville, PA, and his wife Cindy, Gary of Linden and his wife Eileen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom were blessed to have him in their lives.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, October 3, 2024 in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street Linden from 4pm to 8pm. On Friday the Funeral will begin at 9am in the funeral home followed by at 10am Funeral Mass in St. John the Apostle Church Linden/Clark. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the American Cancer Society in loving memory of Glenn Miller.
