Harold B. Mayers
(May, 12 1941 – May 13, 2024)

Harold B. Mayers, 83, of Linden, N.J. entered into eternal rest on Monday, May 13, 2024.

Harold was born in Elizabeth, N.J.  He lived in Linden for 81 years before moving to Burlington two years ago.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of life on Saturday, May 18, 2024 1:30 p.m. at Fratelli's restaurant, 1414 Route 130 in Burlington, N.J.

Harold graduated from Linden High School.  He served in the U.S. Navy and is a plank owner of the U.S.S. Bainbridge, the Navy's first nuclear powered ship.  Harold was employed as a Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Westfield, N.J. for many years before retiring in 1998.  Harold was a lifelong New York Yankees fan and enjoyed working on tasks around his home, especially painting.

Harold was the husband of the late Dorothy G. Mayers who died in 2021 and the loving father of Gregory Mayers of Burlington, N.J., Cheryl Balka and her husband Daniel of Parlin, N.J.  as well as granddaughters Victoria Balka and Allison Balka.  Brother to Valerie Morrison and the late Carolyn Amos.

Cremation will be private.
