Hector David
Zamora
December 29, 1966 – May 18, 2024
On Saturday, May 18, 2024 , God called His son Hector David Zamora (57) to join Him in heaven, where he was welcomed by his father Antonio Zamora and his mother Maria Samayoa, while he was surrounded by his loved ones. Hector was born on December 29th, 1966 and grew up in Guatemala along side his siblings, Lilia Elizabeth Zamora Samayoa, Irma Yolanda Roldán Samayoa, and Oswaldo Cojulum Samayoa. At age 18 Hector started his journey when he came to the United states from Guatemala. He worked many jobs such as landscaping, as a cook, and eventually owned his own business. In his younger years he also worked at Rider College where he would eventually meet Marleny Olivares. They would go on to have two children, David Zamora and Emeli Zamora who he loved very much. Hector along side Marleny raised their children to become the adults they are today. Marleny stood by side through the good and the bad. She was his biggest support system. He taught his children many things like how to ride bicycles, how to cook, to love the outdoors, take them fishing, learn how to drive, and much more. One of Hectors fondest memories was when he went on a trip to Guatemala with his daughter emeli, which he would mention for years to come. They traveled by plane to Guatemala to visit family and went on to explore the beautiful country of Mexico, New Orleans, and Washington DC together until they made it back home to New Jersey by bus (he had a fear of planes). He loved to reminisce the memories of that father daughter trip and mentioned it to anyone if he got the chance. His tough exterior hid the big soft-hearted man that he was. Despite life's battles he fought until the very end with the support of his family. He will be missed dearly by those who knew him very well and loved him deeply. His memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him and the memory of Hector Zamora will live on for many, many years to come.
