Helen Sadczenko Kurywczak, 86, formerly of Elizabeth, N.J. entered into eternal rest on Thursday July 20, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at 9 am from Leonard-Lee Funeral Home  301 E. Blancke Street, Linden. The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church 309 Grier Ave, Elizabeth, NJ at 10 am. Interment to follow in St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery, Bound Brook. Visitation is on Tuesday from 5 to 8pm. Parastas will be on Tuesday at 7pm.

Helen was born in Pinsk, Ukraine and came to the United States and New York in 1944. She then lived in Elizabeth from 1957-2017, then move to Roselle Park then to Morehead Ky. Helen was a devoted and active member of St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church Elizabeth.

Helen was the beloved wife of the late Eugene who died in 2019, and the loving mother to George and his wife Olena, Andrew and his wife Melissa, Roman and his wife Pura and Mark and his wife Emese. Helen was the cherished grandmother of Gregory, Ian, Eric and Brian and dear sister to Tina Vlahogianis and Diane Bodnarenko.
