Helen E. (Matthews) Rumbauskas, 95, of Linden, NJ entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 23, 2022. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home 301 E. Blancke Street Linden. Entombment to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, NJ. Visiting hours are Monday, August 29th from 4 to 8pm.

Helen was born in Rahway, NJ and was a lifelong Linden resident. She was an amazing homemaker and loved her family deeply. Helen loved her home and enjoyed decorating it. (She loved her curtains/bedspreads :-). Helen was a great cook and would make family favorite dishes when they were coming over for a visit. Helen hosted more holiday and family dinners to even count. She especially enjoyed decorating for Christmas, while enjoying her Christmas music and eggnog with a touch of Frangelica.

Helen was an excellent waitress, working for the Towne House in Rahway for many years. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers, that brought her much joy. Helen had a sweet tooth, she loved her "Sweets" and "Chocolate".

Before falling asleep each evening, Helen would say her the nightly prayers, praying for each family member by name. She said there were so many family members that at times she would fall asleep before finishing.

Helen had a love for music and she loved to sing silly songs to the grandchildren. The sign on her backdoor read "Grand Central Station" which was appropriate since her home was open to family, friends and neighbors, always willing to take someone in.

Both Helen and her husband Frank were great providers, caring for their family to ensure they always had everything they needed. At times she was tough but she was the most caring and loving lady inside and loved by so many. She will be missed dearly.

Helen was predeceased by her grandson Frank J. Rumbauskas, Jr. She was the loving wife to her childhood sweetheart Frank B. Rumbauskas for the past 77 years. Loving mother to Carol Kuzma and her husband Dennis, Janice Carsey and her husband John, Frank J. Rumbauskas, Sr. and his wife Karin, Richard Rumbauskas and his wife Lorri, Nancy Beneciuk and her late husband Dennis and Kenneth Rumbauskas. She was predeceased by her 6 siblings, Dorothy, Kathleen, Lillian, Virginia, Edward and James, Jr. Cherished grandmother to 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren who affectionately called her Nannie Belle. Helen is also survived by so many nieces and nephews.
