James F. "TUT" Sporer Jr., 54, of Winfield Park, NJ entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 2, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home 301 E. Blancke Street Linden on Friday April 7, 2023 from 4 to 8pm. with a Funeral Service at 7:30pm.

James was born in Livingston to the late James F. Sr, and Marylynne Larsen Sporer. He lived in Linden before moving to Winfield Park 13 years ago.

James was a Correction Officer for the County of Union for 10 years before retiring in 2002. He was a member of Local 600 and graduated from Union County College with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice.

He was an avid sports fan who loved the Dallas Cowboys, New York Yankees and horseracing.

James was the beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betsy" Koch Sporer. Loving step-father to Brian Luty and his wife Jessica and their daughter Layla Luty. Dear brother to Eric Sporer and his wife Carolyn and he was especially fond of their daughter Stephenie and Dear Brother to Kharry Sporer. Also surviving by many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
