She worked for DuPont in Linden as a Logistics Coordinator for 25 years, retiring in 1986. She also worked for Pathmark in Linden for 10 years.
Her husband's job took them too many places, she lived in Linden, NJ Beaumont, Texas, Newark, Delaware, Buffalo, NY and Old Bridge, NJ-and she enjoyed every location.
Kathy was the heart and soul of her huge and loving family. She was a guiding force whose strength and love bound generations together. He home was always the meeting place for family gatherings, and she especially enjoyed Thanksgiving.
She loved to shop for bargains in the department stores. She loved animals, and providing a good home for our dogs through the years. She especially loved feeding almonds to the chipmunks and squirrels. She loved watching re-runs of the Golden Girls and listening to the Bee-Gees. She loved playing 500 rummy, and was not a good loser. She vacationed in the Poconos with her husband for many years, taking in the NASCAR races and the shopping outlets.
She was particularly proud to have mentored many young children while she lived in Delaware.
Kathy was more than a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she was the matriarch of a family that will carry on her legacy of love, resilience and the importance of togetherness. Her presence was a pillar of strength and her memory will live on through the traditions she created, the lessons she passed down, and the love she placed into every member of her ever growing family.
Kathy was the loving wife of 38 years to Joseph Hausler, loving mother to the late John Buckley and his wife Mary, Peter Buckley and his wife Ann, Kathy Buckley Timothy Buckley and his wife Sue Anderson, Karen Schulhafer and her husband Jim and Judy Conticchio and her husband Gerard. Dear sister to the late John and Dorothy. Cherished grandmother to 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Also survived by her beloved dogs Francis and Jude.
