Lester W. Dass Sr., 96, of Linden, NJ entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 12, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 9 a.m. from the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street. Linden. The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Elizabeth Church Linden at 9:45 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 3 to 7pm.

Lester was born in Hoboken, NJ and came to Linden as a child where he attended Linden High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1946.

He was employed by American Flange MFG Co. in Linden for 41 years retiring in 1999 as Head of Research and Development, where he also received a US Patent.

Lester along with his late wife Jane loved to travel, especially to Vermont, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and California.

Lester was the beloved husband to the late Jane M. Lauerman Dass who passed away in 2015. Loving father to Frank J. Dass, Lester W. Dass Jr., and his wife Kelly and Nancy J. Kavanagh and her husband John. Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Jonathan, Rebecca, Christopher, Corey, Shannon and Kelsey, great-grandfather of Ella, Eli, Laileigh, Brandon, Grayson, Bennett, Hunter, Kennedy, and Baby G on the way.
