It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Maritza Gloria Suarez, who passed away at age 74 on the morning of February 24th in her home in Roselle, NJ. She was first and foremost a child of God, a wife who served faithfully, loving mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Jaime Suarez, and their two daughters Cecilia Rivera (Juan), and Daniela Escobar (Francisco). Devoted grandmother to Angelina, Sebastian, Lucas, Veronica, Magdalena, Sara, Filomena, Serafin, and Silas. Maritza also leaves behind two brothers, Orlando Gracia, Jorge Gracia, and her sister Norah Gracia De Ortiz. She is predeceased by her brother Alberto Gracia.

Maritza was a woman of great faith, who never passed up an opportunity to share the love of Jesus. Her joy was found in attending Holy Mass daily and adoring Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. She had a special devotion to Our Lady, and the Holy Rosary. As Sr. Lucia said, the Scapular and the Rosary are inseparable. We find comfort in knowing Our Lady's promise to those who wear it faithfully "Whosoever dies wearing this Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire".

Maritza was a faithful friend to many, her kindness and generosity will be remembered by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

She left her children and grandchildren their greatest inheritance: faith in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and love of Our Lady.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 9 a.m. in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home., The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Elizabeth Church Linden at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia, N.J. Visiting hours are on Friday March 3 ^rd from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

En estos  momentos con inmenso dolor en nuestros corazones compartimos con ustedes la pérdida de Maritza Gloria Suarez, quien falleció en su casa en Roselle, NJ el 24 de Febrero en la madrugada a la edad de 74 años.

Ella fue una hija entregada a Dios, una esposa fiel, una madre y abuela amantisima, fiel servidora de su Iglesia y de todas las personas que la rodearon.

Su esposo Jaime Suárez Casilimas, sus hijas Cecilia Rivera y Daniela Escobar. Y sus familias conformadas por Juan Rivera e hijos Angelina, Sebastián, Lucas, y Verónica Rivera.  Francisco Escobar e hijos Magdalena, Sara, Filomena, Serafin, y Silas Escobar.

Maritza  tenia cuatro hermanos Orlando Gracia, Jorge Gracia, Norah Gracia De Ortiz, y Alberto Gracia(fallecido).

Maritza tenia una fe muy grande, y nunca perdió la oportunidad de compartir el amor a Dios con los demás. La alegría de ella era asistir a la Santa Misa y adorar a Jesús Sacramentado. Ella fue muy devota a La Virgen Sma y al Santo Rosario. Como nos dijo La Hermana Lucia, "El Escapulario y el Santo Rosario son inseparables." Y nos da mucho consuelo el conocer las promesas de Nuestra Señora a quienes vistan devotamente su Escapulario "El que muriere con el Escapulario no padecerá el fuego del infierno".

Maritza fue una gran amiga. Su cariño y generosidad serán recordados por los que tuvieron la dicha de haberla conocido.

Ella le dejo a sus hijas y nietos la herencia mas grande: la fe en Jesucristo Nuestro Señor y Salvador y el amor a La Virgen Sma.
