Michael Anthony Estrella, 52, of Linden formerly of North Plainfield and Newark entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 21, 2022.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 9 a.m. from the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home 301 E. Blancke Street Linden. The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Elizabeth Church Linden at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery North Arlington. Visiting hours are on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Michael was born in Newark and moved to Puerto Rico when he was 11 years old where he graduated from High School. He then moved back to United States and lived in North Plainfield and Linden for the past 20 years. He attended Lincoln Technical Institute. He was employed for 25 years for the Valvoline Instant Oil Change Garage in South Plainfield as a manager.

Michael was a selfless, funny and loving person. He loved his Mets, Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR, UFC, cars and motorcycles. When he entered a room, everyone just smiled and knew they were going to laugh. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Michael was the loving son of the late Miguel Estrella. He is survived by his loving mother Alba Soto Estrella. His loving daughters Rachel Estrella-Freeman and Natalie Estrella. Loving companion of Yvette Rivera. Dear brother to Herminio Estrella, Linda Estrella, Yolanda Estrella and Elva Szurlej. Cherished grandfather to Iris.
