Momir Lakic, age 58, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 9th, 2025 at his loving home in
Roselle Park, NJ while being surrounded by loved ones. By his side, he had his wife Nelly Lakic
and his two children Jovana and Jovan Lakic. Momir was predeceased by his father Jovan Lakic.
He was a dear son to Vida Lakic and a dear brother to Damir Lakic. He was a loved uncle,
godfather, cousin, and more.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, June 12th, 2025 from 6
p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street, Linden. The Funeral
Service will be held Friday in St. George Serbian Eastern Orthodox Church, 654 South Broad
Street, Elizabeth at 10 a.m. (please arrive by 9:45 a.m.) Interment will follow in Rosedale
Memorial Park Linden.
Momir was a strong man, he was born and raised in Zadar, Croatia, before coming to the United
States and settling in Roselle Park.
Momir worked in maintenance at Rutgers University in Newark for 13 years. Everyone knew
him to be a funny person, he always put a smile on peoples faces. He was selfless and cared for
the people around him. Momir always had his pet dog Spot by his side who was his best friend.
Even if Momir is not physically here with us, his spirit always will be.
