Nancy Schmidt, 60, of Toms River and a former Linden resident entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 28, 2024.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Gathering in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street Linden, on Tuesday, July 2nd from 6 to 8pm. A Memorial Mass will be offered in St. Elizabeth Church, Linden, on Wednesday, July 3rd at 10am. (Please arrive at church by 9:50am) Interment of ashes will take place in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Nancy was born in Elizabeth and was raised in Linden, graduating from Linden High School. She lived in West Orange and Lavallette before moving to Toms River. She graduated from Rutgers Douglas College and from the University of Phoenix.

Nancy was the Director of Organization Development for Prudential, Merck and most recently for AIG where she was the Head of Learning Development, with supporting offices in New York and New Jersey. She had many jobs she liked, but even more co-workers she loved.

Nancy and furry best friend and companion Skye were members of the Lavallette Goose Patrol and she was also a member of the Ocean Beach Surf Club in Lavallette. She loved the beach, counting down to Memorial Day weekend, and Dave Matthews Band concerts

Nancy was the loving daughter of Robert and Joan (Sporczyk) Schmidt. Loving sister to Robert Schmidt and his wife Tracy, and Cindy Walker and her husband Dennis. Dear aunt to DJ and Ryan Walker, Kasey Silva and her husband Devin, and Robby and Daniel Schmidt.
