Peter J. Lauerman Sr. a resident of Linden, passed away June 12, 2023, after a prolonged illness.  Peter was born in Elizabeth on May 12, 1950. He was a graduate of St. Elizabeth Parochial School and a 1968 graduate of Linden High School.  Peter received a degree in Business Administration from Monmouth College (now University) in 1973.  His postgraduate studies included courses in transportation and management.  He was employed by Liquid Carbonic and, in later years, EcoLab.

Peter enjoyed domestic and international travel. He was an avid Formula 1 racing fan who followed Team Ferrari.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an enthusiastic bird watcher. He was an extensive reader and a jazz aficionado. Peter was passionate about the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys.

Peter is survived by his son, Peter Jr; brother, Edward and wife Linda; sister, Joanne Diddle; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. In Lieu of Flowers, donations to St. Jude Research Hospital stjude.org in Peter's memory would be appreciated.
