Phyllis Corduan, born on March 7, 1937, and a lifelong resident of Linden, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on September 7, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family, who meant the world to her.
Phyllis was a retired Officer of the Rosedale-Rosehill Cemetery, where she worked full-time until the age of 81. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edward Corduan, her parents, Anthony and Bridget Mancino, her brothers, John and Thomas Mancino, and her sister, Juliana Vaniska.
She leaves behind her daughters, Lisa Corduan (Bruce Baver) and Jill Slivinski (Jeff); her grandchildren, Marisa Baver-Woodruff (Scott), Madison Baver, Jeffrey Slivinski, and Jeremy Slivinski, her great-grandchildren, Mia Baver and Brooks Woodruff; her twin sister, Marie Scalza (Dominick); her sister-in-law, Margaret Mancino, her brother-in-law, Daniel Vaniska, many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly, and her wonderful caretaker, Irina Shengilia.
A Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leonard Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke St., Linden, NJ. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11 AM (please arrive by 10:45 AM) at St. Elizabeth's Church, 220 E. Blancke St., Linden, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org in her memory.
