RoseMarie Spaccarotella Sayer 88, of Linden, N.J. entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 28, 2023.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 9a.m. from the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street, Linden. The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. John the Apostle Church Linden/Clark at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Linden. Visiting hours are on Tuesday from 4p.m. to 8 p.m.
RoseMarie was born in Elizabeth on August 27, 1935 to the late Angelo "Charlie" and Carmella Fasano Spaccarotella. Rose lived the majority of her life in Linden, NJ. While attending Linden High School she was nicknamed "Sparky". She married Charles Sayer Sr. in November of 1959 and they raised their 3 children in Linden.
She was employed for over 30 years on the Production Line for Walden Farms in Linden before she retired in 2013.
Rose was an avid sports fan. She loved the NJ Devils and was a season-ticket holder for several years. She also loved the NY Jets and the NY Mets. Rose and her husband Charlie loved to travel with their friends, and loved spending time with her family.
Rose was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Charles Sayer Sr. in 2011 and her daughter Jacqueline "Jackie" Frangella in 2014, her sister Grace Spaccarotella Finnegan in 1999 as well as her nephew Anthony Fusilli, Charles Fusilli and a niece Joann Fusilli.
She is survived by her loving sons Charles and his wife Sandy McLachlan Sayer of Edison and Michael Sayer of Linden. Dear sister to Anna Spaccarotella Fusilli, and sister-in-law to Charlene Sayer Bevacqua and son-in-law Michael Frangella (Ellen)
Cherished grandmother to Michael C. Frangella of Brick. Dear aunt to Karen Bevacqua Perialis (Billy); Donna Fusilli Hack (Doug); Jim Finnegan, John Bevacqua (Jen) and several great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donation to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org in her name would be appreciated.
