Sharon Helfrich Cifello, 68, of Toms River, a former Linden resident, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 14, 2023.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, October 19th which will begin at 7:15pm in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street, Linden. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4pm to 8pm. Cremation will be private.

Sharon was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on July 13, 1955 to the late John and Gloria McAvoy Helfrich. She lived in Linden from 1956 where she graduated from Linden High School in 1973 and from Sawyer School of Business in 1975 and then moved to Toms River in 2010.

She was employed by the County of Union for 3 years as a Secretary, then she was employed by the City of Linden as a secretary in the Public Works Department for 10 years, then she was Para-legal/Supervisor in the Law Department for 15 years before she retired in 2012. Then she was a Para-Legal for the Law Office of Edward Kologi, Esq. before she retired on September 1, 2023.

Sharon was a Trustee for many years for the Linden Free Public Library and was secretary for the Special Improvement Development Corporation Linden.

Sharon was the loving wife of 46 years to Charles Cifello. Loving mother to Brian Cifello and Kimberly Bachmann and her husband Rick. Dear sister to Billy Helfrich and his wife Patricia and Jack Helfrich. Loving Mimi of Mia, Meadow and Chase. Loving aunt of Jesse, Diana, Ryan, Kelly, Roy Jr. Troy and Cole.
