Obituary

Virginia "Ginger" M. Miller, 76, of Colonia, NJ entered into eternal rest on Wednesday. February 1, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the funeral on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 9am from the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street Linden. The Funeral Mass will be offered in St. Elizabeth Church Linden at 10am. Entombment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery Colonia. Visiting hours are on Sunday from 2pm to 5pm.

Virginia was born in Elizabeth to the late George and Marion Miller, was raised in Linden where she graduated from Linden High School in 1964 and also was a graduate of Union College Cranford.  Ginger lived in Clark before moving to Colonia 12 years ago.

She was a bookkeeper for Bukiet Building and Management Company, Home Builders in Clifton, for the past 34 years.

Ginger was the most supportive grandparent, a fabulous Nana, who never wanted to miss a thing that her girls were involved in doing.  Those she loved meant the world to her and that love was fully reciprocated by all who loved her as well.  She was quite the dedicated family genealogist who took a lot of satisfaction in delving into our heritage both at home and abroad.  She kept the best records and enjoyed sharing her lineage discoveries with relatives.  Her love of travel went beyond researching archives around the globe; she took countless incredible trips that brought her immense joy too.  Ginger was a jubilant Disney Vacation Club member who treasured being able to spend as much time as possible going on magical adventures, both intensely planned and impromptu ones, with her cherished family.  She was enthusiastic about her health and fitness; enjoying yoga, bicycling, and walking regularly.  She could also be found in the kitchen trying to recreate a new recipe whether a delicious appetizer or a tasty cocktail, Ginger was the one to bring the party.  Always up for anything, always a great time to be around, she was charming and fun, fearless and classy.  Her zest for life was not only admired, it was contagious.  She will sincerely be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.  Let us all raise a glass, "something red", together in her honor.

Virginia was the loving mother to Christine Wnek and her husband Lester. Dear sister to George Miller, Margaret Bender, Elizabeth Maurer, Marion Andreko and Barbara Rivera. Cherished grandmother to Stephanie and Marissa Wnek. In lieu of Flowers donations to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research www.komen.org in her memory would be appreciated.
