Virginia A. (Ginny) Hobbs Sisko, 91 of Linden N.J. entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 30, 2026.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, April 6, 2026 in the Leonard-Lee Funeral Home, 301 E. Blancke Street, Linden from 4pm to 8pm. On Tuesday April 7, 2026 the funeral will begin at the funeral home at 9am followed by a 10am Funeral Mass in St. John the Apostle R.C. Church Linden/Clark. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
Ginny was born and raised in Newark, she lived in Linden and Roselle before moving back to Linden 46 years ago.
She was employed for 40 years with Turtle and Hughes Company in Linden before she retired in 2020.
Ginny enjoyed life to the fullest. She was the happiest when she was with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She would make many trip across the country over the years to spend time with her grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling with local tour companies, she loved to go to Atlantic City. She enjoyed her Clark senior meetings and Wednesday bingo. She spent her summers with her friends at the Clark pool and belonged to a bowling league during the winter. She was always on the go, which kept her young. She will be missed by her family and her many friends.
Ginny was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph F. Sisko, her parents Jean Sodano Hobbs, Mack Hobbs, a sister Mary Dayback and brothers Walter J and Mack (Butch) Hobbs. Loving mother of William Gordon and Joan Wagner and her husband Tom. Dear sister to Christine Fitzgerald and Joseph Hobbs and his wife Belinda and half-sister Mary Hobbs Ford
Cherished grandmother to Danny and Michael Wagner, Kaitlin McDonald and Dylan Gordon. Great-grandmother to Jack, Reagan, Ilaria, Lucy, Liam and June. Also survived by many nieces and nephews she loved.
In lieu of flowers donations to American Cancer Society for lymphoma in her name would be appreciated.
