Vivian Yvonne Diggs was born on December 24, 1958, to Rosetta Brown and the late John Smith in Gainesville, Florida.  She was a resident of New Jersey since 1971.

Vivian departed this life on July 7, 2022, at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital, Hamilton, New Jersey.

Vivian enjoyed gardening and going to church. She was a long-time member of St. Mary's Baptist Church since the mid 80's.

Vivian was preceded in death by her father John Smith, her sister, Jeanette Williams and brothers, Walter Williams, Nathaniel Williams, and John Smith.

Vivian is survived by her husband of over 22 years and together 43 years, Ben Diggs III of Hightstown, NJ, Her mother, Rosetta Brown, of Wilkes Barre, PA, Her sons, Donnell Williams of Wilkes Barre, PA., BJ Diggs of Greensboro, NC, and Johnnie  Terrell Williams also known as "T" of New Brunswick, NJ, sisters, Doreen Brooke of New Brunswick NJ, Carolyn Wade(Monty) of Wilkes Barre, PA, two brothers, Roosevelt Brown, Wilkes Barre , PA, and Andrew Williams of Gainesville, FL. One sister-in-law, Mable Crowley of Arcadia, FL, and niece, Beverly Diggs of Hightstown, NJ. Sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of family, and friends.
